What goes into your mind when you hear the word BALANCE DIET ?
For me, a balance diet is eating the right kind of food, the right amount, at the right time. Eating a balance diet is very important because it helps us to be physically and mentally fit and healthy. It also helps us strengthen our immune system which protects us from any sickness.This is true to all people especially to those who are pregnant.
As we all know, many babies are born with abnormalities. Most of them are malnourished and some have disabilities. Studies show that most of these are caused by improper intake of food by the mother while the baby is still in her womb. Improper in the sense that the mother is not eating nutritious and enough foods during her pregnancy period. A pregnant person should know that it is very important to eat right kinds of food in order that the baby will be properly nourished and healthy when born. I believe that the best way and time to start nourishing and norturing the baby's healthy mind and body is while the baby is still in the mothers womb.
Mothers should continue feeding their babies with nutritious and healthy foods in order for them to gain proper weight and height.The mother should see to it that the food they are serving is of right kind, at the amount,and at the right time of feeding she should always remember to serve the three basic food groups,the Go foods,grow, and glow foods which would give them proper nourishment.
Mother should always see to it that their babies are not malnourished nor over nourished. Babies should always be properly nourished in order for them to have healthy mind and body. Remember that "HEALTH IS WEALTH". If we have healthy mind and body, there's a greater chance of having a brighter and healthier life in the future.
we hope that mother specially the pregnant ones, take good care of the babies and give them the proper nutritious food !!
